Caramel Apple Oreos!!!

The clever folks at Nabisco have released the Caramel Apple flavor again for fall…and yes, it is a Target exclusive. While pumpkin reins supreme with me, it is a nice addition to all the pumpkin flavors everywhere.

My youngest daughter did her own taste test. She said ” I am surprised at how similar it is to a caramel dipped apple”.

Oreo’s trendy limited edition cookies are a favorite to look for in the cookie aisle. The summer flavor of cotton candy is a big hit here!

Pumpkin lovers rejoice! I love pumpkin everything. Seriously. When this magical season returns so do all the delicious recipes and crafts!

Here in the southwest we don’t really have a “Fall”. So I welcome the pumpkins as a sign that cooler temperatures are coming.

If you’re not ready to bust out a pumpkin pie just yet, try this and let me know what you think!

Afterschool snacks

Standard

Here in the Southwest it still feels like summer. After school when the chicks come home, their little faces all red from the scorching desert sun, we like to have a snack! Today I am going to try Apple Nachos.

Just slice some apples thin but thick enough to hold stuff on them. Spread them all out on a plate. Drizzle with caramel and/or chocolate sauce. Then you can top them with whatever you have in your kitchen. Peanuts, chocolate chips, granola, coconut, cut up candy bars…surely the list is endless.
